Last Session

On November 18th, I received the last session for S.E.T.  Luckily for me, our first night of the fall concert was that evening and I was going to be structurally and mentally ready to perform.  Unfortunately this was my last session unknowingly because I got really sick the day following the last show of the concert and when I was initially supposed to get my last session, it couldn't take place because of my cold and chances were great of enhancing the symptoms with the work that is done.

On the other hand, going back to the last session I received, I felt that it enhanced my strength and ability to perform.  I was present and ready to shine.  I took the last session as time to relax and mentally stabilize myself for the next three days of hard work.  I'm glad that I was chosen to be a part of this work and I look forward to contributing to future research.

The E.N.D. is near

It has been over a month since I started getting S.E.T. and its been such a great experience.  The last week I got the therapy done, I went in with a cramp in the arch of my left foot.  This is not anything I've never experienced before, however the massage focused on the area of discomfort and it gradually diminished. In the past weeks therapy, I have seen a change in many things in my body and I am glad I was chosen to take part in this.

10-17 to 10-30

It has been over 2 weeks and since I've had 2 more sessions.  In this time frame, I realized similar reactions from my body that I experienced in the beginning.  Not so much the mood swings, more of the physical changes and aches.  Prior to my second session on 10-21, I noticed I had tender spots on the left side of my head, surrounding my ear.  I'm sure its from the pressure being used.  Later after this session, my left knee began to make clicking and cracking noises that I never had before.  It wasn't something that hurt, however it felt uncomfortable.

Later after explaining this to Anthony on my next appointment on 10-27, he worked around my knee with pressure on the muscles.  It seems that now I don't have the discomfort in my left knee any more. I do continue to have ankle discomfort after being inactive for some time.  I have tried to ice the area but it doesn't seem to work.  Overall I feel great, my back pain has been gone since my first session and hasn't come back.  Everything else seems to come and go minimally.

10-16-2010

It has been two days since my session and of course the two day rule applies.  I feel very sore in my upper back, around my shoulder area.  Also, my legs feel as if I've run none stop for miles.  However, I still feel great.  I feel more vivacious. At times I felt that I was always tired and drained with the pain in my back.  Happy to say that this therapy and research has dispraise that.

SHOW TIME

Today I experienced a deep tissue massage for my therapy session.  At the beginning, Anthony (therapist) had to realign some areas, but it wasn't any major adjustments.  He proceeded with the deep tissue massage, working more on my left leg.  He also worked in the abdominal area as well as my back. After my session, I was cleared to dance.  Through out the day, as I stretched and rehearsed for the show I had that evening, I noticed that my back pain had diminished.  I also realized that my flexibility was far more than what I had before... it seems that I have the same stretch on both sides and able to do equal movement on each side of my body.

My body feels amazing.  I feel like brand new.  the balance in my body has definitely improved.  I haven't taken any of my technique classes yet, but for the  time being I do see and feel the difference in my body and very impressed in what this research is doing for me and my career.

10-13-10

For the past week, I've noticed many changes occur in my mind and body.  Not sure if its because I know that I am going through this therapy or maybe its because my body is actually going through changes.  I recently realized that I have a tender spot on the left side of my head, near my ear.  It feels as if i have a bruise in that area, but I don't.   My balance seems to be on point. I find myself standing up steadily on two feet, not leaning more on one side than the other. Today I am due for my deep tissue message and will find out if my alignment is still in place, and if I can dance going froward.

10-12-10

I have a few days left until I can actually MOVE!  The only difference that I've noticed lately is the pain in my ankles but I feel more energized.  I am really curious to know how my flexibililty and my dancing is going to improve with the new alignment.  Two more days in counting!
